Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of WaxTrack ("the Service"), operated by WaxTrack ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

WaxTrack is a web-based application that helps cyclists track chain wax intervals by connecting to third-party training platforms (currently Intervals.icu and Strava). The Service syncs activity and gear data to calculate kilometres ridden per chain and alert users when re-waxing is due.

2. Accounts

• You must provide a valid email address and a secure password to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
• You may only create one account per person. Accounts are not transferable.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service.
• Copy, reproduce, or redistribute the Service's design, code, or content without permission.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or data.
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or abuse the Service's API endpoints.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.

4. Intellectual property

The Service, including its code, design, visual elements, logo, and content, is the intellectual property of WaxTrack and is protected by copyright and other applicable laws. All rights are reserved.

Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use WaxTrack's name, logo, or branding without our prior written consent.

You retain ownership of any data you upload or create within the Service (your bikes, chains, wax logs, and activity data). You grant us a limited licence to store and process that data solely to provide the Service to you.

5. Third-party integrations

The Service integrates with third-party platforms including Intervals.icu and Strava. Your use of those platforms is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of any third-party service.

By connecting a third-party account, you authorise WaxTrack to access only the data necessary to provide the Service: your activity records, gear information, and basic profile information (display name and platform athlete ID) used to label your account inside the app. See our Privacy Policy for details on how this data is stored and used.

6. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time, with reasonable notice where possible.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify users of significant changes via the app or email.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that any data will be accurate or complete. Use of the Service is at your own risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, all warranties on behalf of any third-party service providers integrated with the Service (including without limitation Strava, Inc., Intervals.icu and our hosting provider) are expressly disclaimed, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Such third-party service providers are not parties to these Terms and shall have no liability whatsoever to you arising from your use of the Service.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WaxTrack shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or equipment damage resulting from reliance on inaccurate wax interval information.

9. Termination

You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account in the app. Deletion is immediate and permanent. If you are unable to access the in-app deletion flow, you can contact us at [email protected]; deletion requests received by email will be actioned within 48 hours.

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the Service without prior notice if you breach these Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Switzerland.
